We’re doing something new with this release by giving old music an audio-visual makeover.

The music of classical 19th-20th century composer, Alexander Scriabin, was composed with color schemes in mind – the composer was a synesthete – in his case, he associated various colors with musical keys and modes.

Now, this Prelude is in the key of G major – while Scriabin associated this key with the color orange, we also had blue and purple in our minds. Throughout the video, the colors slowly fade through a variety of shades and hues – see if you can notice, it is very subtle!

What color schemes do you pick up on here?

What other colors do the music evoke in your mind?
